IT Support Engineer

Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading global holding company to recruit an IT Support Engineer on a contract basis. ASAP start. Initial 6-month contract. London based. 5 days per week onsite.

* The IT Support Engineer will provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users across the business, resolving hardware, software, and application-related issues. * Support and administer Microsoft 365 environments, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. * Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory. * Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. * Handle onboarding and offboarding activities, including account creation, device provisioning, and access management. * Escalate complex issues to relevant technical teams and third-party vendors where required. * Support meeting room technology, printers, mobile devices, and collaboration tools. * Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, requests, and technical procedures. * Ensure service requests and incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs. * Contribute to ongoing IT improvement projects and technology rollouts.

* The IT Support Engineer will have 1-3 years of commercial IT Support experience within a corporate environment. * Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. * Proven experience supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems and desktop environments. * Hands-on experience administering Active Directory, including user account management and permissions. * Experience working with ticketing systems and adhering to SLA-driven support environments. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and networking issues. * Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support users at all levels of the business. * Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
