Infrastructure Analyst
You'll join a collaborative IT team and play a key role in maintaining and improving critical infrastructure while supporting major transformation initiatives, office relocations, and future cloud and virtualisation strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, Cisco networking, Meraki wireless environments, and core network services.
- Supporting and administering VMware vSphere environments and enterprise server hardware.
- Taking ownership of infrastructure patching and ensuring systems remain secure and compliant.
- Monitoring infrastructure performance using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively resolving issues.
- Managing storage, backups, and data protection solutions.
- Supporting infrastructure migration, modernisation, and decommissioning projects.
- Acting as a 3rd line escalation point for complex server, network, and hardware issues.
- Working with vendors and third-party partners to resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
- Supporting cybersecurity initiatives, compliance requirements, and remediation activities.
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
Desirable
- Previous experience in an Infrastructure Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer, or 3rd Line Support role.
- Strong Cisco networking knowledge, including switching, VLANs, routing, STP, and LACP.
- Experience administering VMware vSphere environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise server hardware, ideally HP ProLiant environments.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- PowerShell Scripting skills would be advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role will give you the opportunity to work on major infrastructure and technology transformation projects. Provide you exposure to cloud, virtualisation, and modern infrastructure technologies. You will have a varied role combining BAU support, project delivery, and strategic infrastructure planning while being part of a supportive and collaborative team culture.
