OMS / PMS Business Analyst
Robert Half International (an S&P 500 global staffing provider) is supporting a global consulting firm in sourcing an experienced Business Analyst with OMS/PMS expertise to join a major investment and wealth management client engagement. The assignment focuses on supporting a front-to-back Order Management System (OMS) and Portfolio Management System (PMS) replacement programme spanning Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Dealers and Quant teams.
Assignment Details
- Initial Duration: 6 months (strong likelihood of extension given programme size)
- Location: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in Bristol
- Day Rate: Market rate via PAYE (plus 12.07% holiday pay – PAYE with employer’s NI & Tax deducted at source, unlike umbrella companies and no umbrella company admin fees)
This role suits a Business Analyst with strong front-to-back trade lifecycle understanding and hands-on exposure to OMS/PMS platforms within financial services.
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in Insurance or Wealth, Asset Management, Investment Banking or Trading environments is highly desirable .
- Seasoned BA with proven OMS/PMS experience across platforms such as Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, Thinkfolio, Limina, Finbourne, Fidessa, Portware or similar.
- Strong understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle : order capture, routing, execution, allocation, confirmation, settlement.
- Experience partnering with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Dealers, Quants and Operations teams.
- Skilled in running workshops, defining requirements, and documenting As-Is / To-Be processes .
- Able to map future-state application architecture and data flows for OMS/PMS and investment operations workflows.
- Experience managing dependencies, phasing options and licence switch-off plans during system migrations.
- Strong documentation ability: BRDs, functional requirements, process maps, user stories, traceability matrices.
- Confident liaising with both business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme scope.
