PeopleSoft Finance & General Ledger Consultant

Robert Half is recruiting for a PeopleSoft Finance & General Ledger Senior Analys t to provide expert support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for PeopleSoft Finance systems.

**This role is outside IR35**

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract: 12 Months

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: outside IR35

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for PeopleSoft General Ledger processes including journals, ledgers, allocations, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity and performance of the General Ledger environment, identifying and resolving issues when they arise.
  • Provide functional support for incidents, queries, and service requests relating to PeopleSoft GL.
  • Investigate and resolve issues escalated from the offshore AMS support team, coordinating with technical teams where necessary.
  • Support integration points between GL and related modules such as AP, AR, and Purchasing.
  • Work closely with finance stakeholders to diagnose issues, identify solutions, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Collaborate on VAT changes and cross-module process updates.
  • Support data preparation activities related to the future SAP transition.
  • Assist with testing activities for both PeopleSoft enhancements and SAP migration initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot issues across development and production environments.
  • Perform month-end and year-end system checks to ensure processing and batch jobs have completed successfully.
  • Build strong relationships with business users and provide guidance on reporting, audit requests, and system changes.
  • Gather business requirements from stakeholder meetings and translate them into actionable outcomes or change requests.
  • Prioritise requests and coordinate with offshore teams where appropriate.
  • Provide operational guidance to business users on completing system tasks when needed.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with regional and global PeopleSoft teams, IT teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Finance 8.4, particularly General Ledger
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger processes, financial reporting, and integration with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Purchasing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex functional issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance stakeholders and IT teams
  • SQL skills
  • English and Polish language skills required (additional languages beneficial)
