SAP Cloud ALM Migration Consultant

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on SAP Cloud ALM Migration Consultant to assess an existing SAP Solution Manager environment and support the migration of relevant capabilities into SAP Cloud ALM.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP technical specialist who combines architectural expertise with hands-on delivery skills. The initial engagement will focus on reviewing the current landscape, identifying what can be migrated directly to Cloud ALM, recommending practical alternatives where gaps exist, and supporting the wider transition away from SAP Solution Manager.

The environment is already established, with a Cloud ALM tenant provisioned and basic configuration in place. As a result, this role is focused on assessment, migration planning, technical enablement, and knowledge transfer rather than a full end-to-end implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the existing SAP Solution Manager landscape, configuration, usage, and integrations.
• Review current capabilities and determine their suitability for migration to SAP Cloud ALM.
• Identify features that can be migrated on a like-for-like basis and define migration approaches.
• Evaluate functionality gaps and recommend alternative solutions where direct Cloud ALM equivalents do not exist.
• Support technical configuration and enablement activities within Cloud ALM.
• Work closely with SAP Basis teams on connectivity, infrastructure, and technical integration requirements.
• Review relevant tools and integrations, including areas such as transport management, monitoring, and third-party integrations.
• Produce clear documentation covering findings, migration recommendations, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
• Advise on future opportunities to leverage additional SAP Cloud ALM capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, reporting, and operational management.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager.
• Practical experience with SAP Cloud ALM.
• Previous involvement in Solution Manager to Cloud ALM assessments or migration projects.
• Ability to assess complex SAP environments and provide clear technical recommendations.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into practical migration plans.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
