SAP Functional Consultant

Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading fashion brand to recruit a SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant on a contract basis. OUTSIDE IR35. Hybrid working - London based. ASAP start - minimum 6 months.

* The SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant will lead and support the delivery of SAP S/4HANA solutions across key business functions, with a focus on fashion industry-specific processes.* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into SAP solution design, and configure the system accordingly.* Analyse current business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, standardisation and automation - particularly in areas such as Finance, SCM, Retail, PLM, and Omnichannel order management.* Support configuration and customisation of SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FICO, PP, EWM) as required, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.* Lead workshops, design sessions and UAT activities, and provide functional expertise during testing, cutover and go-live phases.* Prepare functional documentation, process flows, test scripts, and training materials; and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.* Troubleshoot functional issues and provide timely resolutions, working closely with technical teams and external partners.* Act as a bridge between IT and business users, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and deliver measurable value.

* The SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant will have proven experience implementing and supporting SAP S/4HANA in complex, multi-module environments - ideally within fashion, retail, consumer goods or lifestyle brands.* Strong functional expertise in core SAP modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FICO (Finance & Controlling), and ideally Retail/Omnichannel functions.* Experience with SAP activation, configuration, testing and support processes, with a deep understanding of SAP best practices and implementation methodologies.* Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving, able to interpret business needs and translate into effective SAP solutions.* Highly collaborative with strong communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.* Experience participating in full project lifecycle activities (design build test deploy support) and comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
