Salesforce Functional Lead

Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading AI Platform consultancy based in London to recruit a Salesforce Functional Lead on a 3-6 month contract basis, with an ASAP start. Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the London office.

Role

• The Salesforce Functional Lead will lead end-to-end Salesforce project delivery, from initial discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation, testing, UAT and go-live.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations and workshops, confidently facilitating requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders.
• Analyse AS-IS business processes and work collaboratively with clients to define and document effective TO-BE processes.
• Own the Salesforce functional solution design, translating business requirements into scalable and best-practice Salesforce solutions.
• Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure functional requirements are effectively translated into the Salesforce platform.
• Configure Salesforce in line with the agreed solution design, delegating configuration activities to junior team members where appropriate.
• Support internal testing and client UAT, helping to identify, troubleshoot and resolve functional issues.
• Deliver training and knowledge-transfer workshops for clients and Salesforce Administrators.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, providing functional expertise and supporting the analysis of business processes and requirements.
• Mentor and coach junior Salesforce consultants, helping to develop capability and future talent within the team.
• Support the pre-sales function by identifying potential opportunities and contributing Salesforce expertise to future engagements.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel when required.

Profile

• The Salesforce Functional Lead will have 5+ years of Salesforce project delivery experience, ideally covering the full implementation lifecycle.
• Strong functional Salesforce expertise across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
• Proven experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering and functional solution design.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce configuration experience, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and delegate effectively.
• Experience supporting testing, UAT, training and stakeholder engagement throughout Salesforce implementations.
• Experience working directly with client stakeholders, including facilitating workshops and presenting solutions to audiences at different levels.
• Familiarity with Experience Cloud and other Salesforce Clouds would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to lead workshops and client discussions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and identify practical solutions.
• A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with experience mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues.
• Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
• Degree educated or able to demonstrate strong equivalent experience within a Salesforce implementation environment.
