Robert Half are partnering with a rapidly growing provider of integrated online media solutions to major corporate customers. Due to continued expansion, the business is investing heavily in strengthening its finance function and is now looking for a Senior Assistant Accountant to take ownership of accounts receivable and revenue recognition processes while supporting the Finance team with month-end reporting and management accounts preparation. About the Position
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for:
* Supporting month-end reporting and management accounts preparation.* Preparing monthly income returns for key clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.* Raising and issuing sales invoices, allocating cash receipts accurately, and resolving queries.* Investigating and reconciling discrepancies in invoices to ensure billing accuracy.* Preparing journals with correct nominal and VAT coding.* Reconciling bank accounts weekly and ensuring all reconciliations are complete by month-end deadlines.* Collaborating closely with Account Management and Sales teams to analyse unbilled labour and expenses.* Assisting with ad hoc finance projects, process improvements, and supporting audits.
What we're looking for
* AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.* 5+ years' experience in a finance role with a focus on AR/Sales Ledger, revenue recognition, and management accounts, with a strong understanding of debits and credits.* Strong technical understanding of accounts receivable and revenue recognition.* Experience supporting month-end reporting and management accounts preparation.* Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.).* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
