Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python / AWS / Node.js)

Location: Northampton (Hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home)

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is the second hire for the team following a recent successful appointment, reflecting continued investment and growth.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role with a strong emphasis on back-end development (approximately 80%), while still contributing to the front end (20%). You'll be designing, building and deploying scalable cloud-based applications and APIs within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Python applications.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications and APIs using AWS.
• Develop and maintain back-end services with occasional front-end development.
• Design robust integrations between internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute to architecture, best practices and technical decision-making.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' commercial experience developing with Python.
• Minimum 5 years' UK commercial experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including building and deploying cloud-based applications and APIs.
• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Proven experience designing and building scalable applications and integrations.
• Full stack development experience with a primary focus on back-end engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
