IT Senior Team Lead / IT Manager - Full Time Location: London, hybrid (3 days onsite)Salary: £60,000-£70,000, DOE

About the Role: Robert Half are seeking an IT Senior Team Lead / IT Manager to join our fast-growing client.

You will lead a small IT team (2 engineers), providing both day-to-day support and the implementation of IT solutions across a diverse technology environment. You will be comfortable advising stakeholders at every level, translating complex IT terminology, and resolving both operational and customer-facing issues with confidence and clarity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a small IT team, fostering high standards and best practice.
  • Deliver technical support for users at all levels; diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Set up and install new computers, networks, and software packages.
  • Manage application updates, patches, user profiles, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Maintain and review IT infrastructure, recommending and implementing new technologies where applicable.
  • Oversee the management of an Apple (Mac) estate (approx. 40 Macs).
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors; understand pricing models and contractual agreements.
  • Provide internal training on cybersecurity, maintain governance and change control processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of issues, assets, and resolutions.
  • Operate effectively under time pressure and adapt to a growing, changing environment.

Technology Stack Includes: Dell, Apple, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Stack (Tenancy), Windows 11, MacOS, Encryption, Anti-Virus, RDP, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, CRM, Mobile Phones, LAN & WAN, VPN, NetDocuments, Tame Capture, Carpe Diem, SQL, MS Fabric, Mimecast, Microsoft Sentinel.

About You:

  • At least 6 years' experience in IT support/engineering roles, including at least two external appointments.
  • Significant experience in IT management within a customer-focused, fast-growing business (experience in legal/professional services a plus).
  • Strong M365 administration skills (beyond basic user level) essential.
  • Expertise in iOS administration for small Mac estates; experience with SQL & Microsoft Fabric beneficial.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and GDPR.
  • Effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organiser, multitasker, and timekeeper with the ability to remain positive under pressure.
  • Professional IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft) strongly preferred.
