An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to lead the evolution of a complex digital and enterprise technology landscape. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on architectural expertise to drive modernisation across e-Commerce, CRM, marketing technology, and customer engagement platforms, while strengthening cybersecurity controls and optimising total cost of ownership (TCO).

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, product teams, engineering, and third-party vendors to define architectural direction, align solutions to business strategy, and guide execution through well-defined roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Solutions Architect will:

  • Lead major transformation initiatives, including:
    • Replacement of a legacy e-Commerce platform with a modern, customer-centric solution
    • Implementation of a next-generation CRM and marketing automation ecosystem
    • Development of a unified customer data and personalisation roadmap
    • Enhancement of identity, access management, and data protection frameworks
    • Migration from legacy platforms to cloud-native or SaaS solutions
  • Define and govern architecture standards and roadmaps during large-scale transformation
  • Ensure solutions strike the right balance between innovation, scalability, complexity, and cost-efficiency
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, influencing decision-making at all levels

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Significant experience in Solution or Enterprise Architecture roles
  • Proven track record architecting customer-facing digital platforms (e-Commerce, CRM, CMS, MarTech) within retail, luxury, or similar B2C environments
  • Strong knowledge of modern technology stacks, including commerce platforms, CDPs, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, microservices, and integration platforms
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure-by-design architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to balance innovation with cost control and operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities

Desirable:

  • Experience within luxury, fashion, or premium retail sectors
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Shopify, SAP Commerce, or Manhattan
  • Experience operating in transformation environments with significant legacy technology debt
  • Knowledge of IT cost optimisation and vendor management strategies
