We're seeking a Lead Solution Architect to drive a major technology transformation, shifting the organisation from a legacy, stack-based model to a modern product-led architecture. You'll define architectural strategy, modernise and integrate IBM i-Series (AS/400) systems with cloud platforms, and enable scalable digital capabilities across retail and wholesale operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape enterprise architecture strategy and guide the transition to a product-centric model
• Lead integration and modernisation of IBM i-Series/AS400 with cloud-native platforms
• Influence senior stakeholders across business and technology
• Establish architecture principles, patterns, and guardrails for product teams
• Mentor architects and senior engineers, raising overall technical maturity

About You:

• Proven experience as a Lead/Principal Solution Architect
• Strong background in enterprise integration & hybrid architecture
• Hands-on experience with IBM i-Series (AS/400)
• Skilled in modern architectural patterns (APIs, event-driven, microservices, DDD)
• Confident communicator able to influence C-level and engineering teams

Nice to Have:

Retail/wholesale transformation, ERP/POS integration, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), API management, event streaming.
