Senior Technical Business Analyst – Insurance (Pricing Platform / Integrations)

Robert Half is supporting a global consulting firm to source a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a high-impact programme within a leading financial services organisation. This role sits within a major platform transformation initiative, focused on scaling a pricing engine into a secure, enterprise-grade solution with multiple integrations and external user access.

Assignment Details

• Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
• Start date: ASAP (Onboarding c. 2-3 week turnaround with interviews and paperwork )
• Location: London (City) – hybrid working, approx. 2 days per week onsite
• Rate: £450 p/day plus 12.07% holiday pay via PAYE with employer’s NI & tax deducted at source (no umbrella company admin fees)

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and define functional and non-functional requirements across a complex platform build
• Work closely with architecture, security, and engineering teams to translate technical designs into business requirements
• Support the development of a pricing platform including front-end, back-end, and data components
• Engage with stakeholders across technology, business, and external partners
• Contribute to design documentation, governance artefacts, and delivery planning
• Support integration requirements across multiple systems (including APIs)

Required Experience

• Strong Business Analyst experience within financial services ideally insurance
• Proven experience working on technology-led programmes (not purely business/process change)
• Experience working with APIs and system integrations
• Exposure to secure environments (e.g. authentication, access controls, or similar)
• Ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience within insurance or reinsurance environments
• Exposure to platform or product builds (rather than purely change/transformation)
• Familiarity with tools such as MuleSoft, OKTA, or similar technologies
