ROLE: Technical Programme Manager Role
LENGTH: 12 Months FTC
LOCATION: Remote - occasional travel to London office
PAY: up to £80,000 per annum depending on experience
Role overview
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of technical infrastructure transformation projects. The role focuses on planning, coordinating and overseeing the design, implementation and transition of modern IT infrastructure (including cloud, networks, servers and core systems) to ensure it is secure, scalable and aligned with business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple infrastructure transformation projects, ensuring time, cost, scope and quality targets are met.
- Own project planning, governance, risk management and executive reporting.
- Provide oversight of technical delivery, working closely with engineers, InfoSec teams and vendors to meet architectural and security standards.
- Manage stakeholders across IT leadership, business teams and third-party suppliers.
- Coordinate vendors and partners, ensuring contracts, SLAs and deliverables are achieved.
- Oversee change, cutover, testing and service transition to minimise business disruption.
- Manage budgets, forecasts and resource costs.
- Lead and coordinate project teams and deputise for the Director of Internal IT and Operational Change when required.
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or technology transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of modern infrastructure (cloud, SaaS, Azure, AI-enabled environments).
- Ability to interpret technical designs, manage dependencies and integrate disparate systems.
- Solid knowledge of cyber security principles, data migration and enterprise delivery practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
