Vulnerability Analyst

Robert Half is partnering with a Financial Services organisation to recruit a Vulnerability Analyst on an initial 12-month contract.

This role sits within a growing security function focused on strengthening vulnerability management practices, improving remediation workflows, and enhancing the organisation's overall security posture. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, analysing, and coordinating the remediation of vulnerabilities across the business, while working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks across systems and infrastructure.

  • Perform vulnerability scanning and validate identified weaknesses and remediation activities.

  • Analyse, triage, and prioritise vulnerabilities based on risk, business impact, and exploitability.

  • Develop and support remediation plans to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Facilities teams to implement security patches and updates.

  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Provide recommendations on security hardening best practices and preventative security controls.

  • Assist in standardising workflows across current vulnerability management workstreams.

  • Interpret and manipulate complex data sets (including Excel and pivot tables) to support informed remediation decisions.

  • Maintain clear documentation of findings, risk assessments, and remediation actions.

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in vulnerability analysis, vulnerability management, or a related security discipline.

  • Experience working within recognised vulnerability management frameworks.

  • Strong hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Rapid7).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data manipulation.

  • Excellent communication skills - able to confidently explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a collaborative manner.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in high-demand environments.

  • Experience within financial services or other regulated environments is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to system or programme management environments is advantageous.

Contract:

  • Initial 12-month contract

  • 4 days per week, London based

  • Competitive day rate | Inside IR35 PAYE
