The Role
Our client is a large multinational firm that provides a range of financial services, including advisory, investment, and asset management solutions. It serves a diverse set of clients worldwide, focusing on strategic planning, market operations, and long-term financial growth.
What you'll do
- Manage and enhance large-scale physical and virtual load-balancer infrastructure, supporting critical business applications.
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Python, Ansible and Scripting tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Integrate infrastructure components with internal configuration management, monitoring and self-service platforms.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and recommend improvements to enhance performance, stability and reliability.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of global infrastructure platforms within a highly regulated environment.
What you bring
- Strong hands-on experience in infrastructure automation, with proven expertise in Ansible, Python, Perl or Shell Scripting and configuration management practices.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration, platform engineering principles and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices within large-scale environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions, with a focus on automation, reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.
- Practical experience with load-balancing technologies such as F5 or A10, including configuration, APIs and infrastructure management.
- Knowledge of distributed web applications, virtualised and containerised environments, software version control, deployment processes and SDLC practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, developers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
