Asset Data Analyst - Investment Banking

We're looking for an Asset Data Analyst to join a major data transformation programme within a leading global investment and asset management organisation. Supporting the Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business, you'll ensure the integrity, quality, and governance of investment data while delivering actionable insights across front-office and reporting functions.

Asset Data Analyst

London | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) £888 per day (Umbrella) | Initial 6-month contract | 2+ year programme

We're looking for an Asset Data Analyst to join a major data transformation programme within a leading global investment and asset management organisation. Supporting the Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business, you'll ensure the integrity, quality, and governance of investment data while delivering actionable insights across front-office and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse investment and asset data to identify trends, anomalies and business insights.
  • Develop dashboards, reports and automated data solutions using Snowflake, SQL, Python, Power BI and Alteryx.
  • Oversee outsourced asset data services, ensuring SLA, quality and governance standards are met.
  • Act as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party data providers.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers, Risk and Technology teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Drive data governance, quality improvement and issue resolution across investment data platforms.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in an Asset Data Analyst or Investment Data role within Asset Management.
  • Strong knowledge of IBOR/ABOR, investment data, and asset classes including Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives.
  • Experience with Snowflake and investment data platforms such as LUSID.
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills, with experience using Power BI and/or Alteryx.
  • Understanding of asset valuations, market data and curve inputs (interest rates, inflation, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex data to both technical and business audiences.
