BI Analyst
Urgent contract BI Analyst, 3 months initial, remote ! Outside IR35
We are looking for an experienced BI Analyst to join our growing Business Intelligence team.
The business has recently expanded from a traditional apprenticeships model and now operates across four additional brands. As a result, we have multiple new data sources requiring analysis, cleansing, transformation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and define stakeholder reporting requirements.
- Work with commercial stakeholders to understand KPI and reporting needs.
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Analyse and interpret sales and commercial data.
- Work with raw datasets from multiple newly acquired brands.
- Clean, transform and model data for reporting purposes.
- Write SQL queries against Azure SQL databases.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful insights and visualisations.
- Support the establishment of reporting standards and best practice within the BI function.
Essential Skills
- Strong Power BI development experience.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience gathering stakeholder requirements.
- Experience working with ambiguous or previously unmanaged data.
- Ability to independently engage with stakeholders and shape reporting solutions.
- Data modelling and data transformation experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Azure SQL experience.
- Experience working with sales or commercial datasets.
- Experience supporting organisations through growth, acquisitions, or integration of new businesses.
- Knowledge of BI best practices and governance.
