The Role
Our client is a large multinational firm that provides a range of financial services, including advisory, investment, and asset management solutions. It serves a diverse set of clients worldwide, focusing on strategic planning, market operations, and long-term financial growth.

What you'll do

• Build, maintain and enhance the CyberELK Elasticsearch platform supporting the firm's cyber teams.
• Onboard data sources, including field extraction, parsing and Elastic Common Schema (ECS) mapping.
• Develop automation solutions integrating configuration management frameworks, APIs and AI-assisted tooling.
• Optimise Elasticsearch performance through sharding, Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) and ingest pipelines.
• Provide technical consultancy to internal stakeholders and support complex platform requirements.
• Act as a senior escalation point for troubleshooting, collaborating with infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.

What you bring

• Production experience in Elasticsearch or Splunk engineering, with Elasticsearch preferred.
• Experience onboarding, parsing and managing cybersecurity data sources, including Elastic Stack tools such as Logstash or Beats.
• Strong Linux administration skills, including platform installation and management.
• Experience with Ansible automation, configuration management and cloud data pipelines across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong operational troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of networking, HTTP and encryption.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Jira, DevOps and Agile/Kanban practices, alongside excellent communication skills.
