I am currently looking for a Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking consultancy that is dedicated to transforming its customers data landscapes. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in migrating legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions.
Data Engineer - What will you be doing?
* Leading the migration of existing legacy systems to a robust Kubernetes cluster, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess current data infrastructure and develop comprehensive plans for cloud readiness and modernisation.* Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that support both current and future organisational needs.* Monitoring system performance post-migration, proactively identifying areas for optimisation and improvement within the new cloud environment.* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending new tools or methodologies that enhance efficiency or reliability within the data engineering function.
Data Engineer - What will you need?
* Candidate must be eligible for SC clearance.* Demonstrated experience migrating complex legacy systems into modern cloud-based environments using Kubernetes clusters.* Proven track record of preparing organisations for cloud adoption by assessing existing infrastructure and implementing readiness strategies.* Strong background in stakeholder engagement, including gathering requirements, communicating progress, and managing expectations effectively.* Solid understanding of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines within distributed computing environments.
