Data Engineer

Opportunity to join a major international banking group on an initial 6-month rolling contract, working across complex data integration, regulatory reporting and cloud-led data projects.

This role would suit someone who enjoys solving technical data challenges and working on business-critical systems within a regulated banking environment.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable ETL pipelines, integrating data across multiple platforms and ensuring data is accurate, secure and available for reporting and wider business use.

Key focus areas:

* Designing and developing data integration solutions * Building ETL pipelines using Data Stage, SSIS or Alteryx * Working with SQL Server and Oracle databases * Supporting regulatory reporting, including AQR / ECB reporting * Developing data models, data marts and transformations * Working with Azure, Databricks and cloud storage solutions * Supporting middleware integration, including Kafka, IIB or Message Queue * Ensuring strong data quality, governance and compliance standards
