I am currently seeking a Data Product Manager based in Birmingham, you will be trusted with guiding a team of skilled professionals through the creation and management of innovative data solutions. Your daily responsibilities will involve collaborating with colleagues across various departments to understand their unique needs and translate them into insightful analytical outputs.
Data Product Manager - What will you be doing?
* Defining and managing the full lifecycle and roadmap of certified data products such as datasets, semantic models, dashboards, data stories, AI-enabled features, business glossaries, catalogues, and analytics apps.* Ensuring each data product is thoroughly documented, versioned, and specified to an agent-consumable standard so it is ready for both human and AI consumers.* Translating diverse business requirements into clear product specifications by managing intake processes, refining backlogs, and prioritising reporting and analytics requests.* Managing the Data and Insight Team by setting objectives, coordinating workloads, and nurturing strong delivery capability alongside stakeholder engagement skills.* Overseeing user delivery platforms and tools to empower teams throughout the organisation as well as trusted partners to leverage data as a strategic asset.
Data Product Manager - What will you need?
* Proven expertise in enterprise deployment and adoption of analytics tools such as Power BI/Fabric, Tableau, Looker or Qlik.* Practical experience working with AI tools and agents in an analytical context; understanding how data quality tiers, semantic definitions, and lineage affect what AI can reliably reason from is essential.* Strong analytical skills combined with deep product management knowledge; able to interpret customer business needs effectively into application requirements that provide intuitive outputs.* Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams while nurturing communal growth within your own department.* Experience managing intake processes for reporting requests including backlog refinement and prioritisation based on organisational needs.
