Role Overview

Join a business-facing IT team delivering modern, scalable solutions. You'll help shape technical design, translate requirements into robust implementations, support UAT, and ensure high engineering standards through code reviews and best practices. Expect a fast-paced environment where you'll collaborate closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Proven hands-on experience designing and building robust, scalable applications using Java, C++ or similar languages, ideally within financial services environments
• Strong experience in cloud development (AWS preferred) and CI/CD tooling (eg, Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitHub), with exposure to modern Front End frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience designing and consuming API-driven systems (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Proven ability to lead technical design, define coding standards, and perform high-quality code reviews
• Strong track record of translating business requirements into clear technical designs and specifications
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working effectively across product, business, and engineering teams
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to high-performing teams in fast-paced, complex programme environments
• Strong ability to manage priorities and consistently deliver outcomes under pressure

What You Bring:

• 5-10+ years of technology experience, including 3-5 years in financial services preferred
• Strong communication skills with technical gravitas
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Familiarity with index funds and the index data management domain is advantageous

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Back End and/or full-stack development using Java, C++, C# and/or JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React)
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS; exposure to DynamoDB is a plus
• Experience with Back End development in Python (Flask or similar frameworks) is beneficial
• Experience in end-to-end testing using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
