The Role

We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Quantitative Solutions & Innovations (QSI) team within the Sales & Distribution division of a leading Investment Banking client in Glasgow.

This is a hands-on web application development role, working on a client-facing Fixed Income platform used by the business to deliver market data analytics, reporting and transaction cost solutions. Fixed Income experience is not mandatory, training will be provided.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and enhance modern web applications, dashboards and reporting features.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, Sales and Strategic Analysts to turn requirements into production-ready applications.
• Contribute to the modernisation of the platform's Front End, Java Back End, frameworks and development tooling.
• Take part in design discussions, code reviews and technical decision-making.
• Improve test automation, testing approaches and overall software quality.
• Help investigate and resolve production issues across internal and external client-facing applications.
• Collaborate within a Front Office technology team, sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• Strong hands-on experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer/Full-Stack Developer.
• Strong web application development experience, particularly on the Front End.
• Solid Java development experience on the Back End.
• Experience working with modern UI/web technologies and frameworks.
• Good understanding of software testing and test automation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced Front Office environment.
• Investment Banking/Financial Services experience is beneficial, but deep FX or Rates knowledge is not mandatory.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to perform under pressure
