Group Accountant

A growing PE backed technology business is seeking a Group Accountant, a newly created role due to growth. This role will involve the consolidation of financial results across international entities along with ensuring accurate group reporting. This is a key position in supporting compliance with statutory obligations and maintaining robust financial controls. You will also drive improvements to processes, systems and work closely with the FP&A team in the provision of analysis.

This role will involve the consolidation of financial results across international entities along with ensuring accurate group reporting. This is a key position in supporting compliance with statutory obligations and maintaining robust financial controls. You will also drive improvements to processes, systems and work closely with the FP&A team in the provision of analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations.
  • Lead the month-end close and Group reporting process.
  • Support statutory reporting requirements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Provide technical accounting support on complex or non-routine transactions.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital performance.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Build working relationships with operational teams including ensuring accurate accounting treatment of complex transactions
  • Deliver clear financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making at a senior level.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Ideally experience in a large firm auditing international Group businesses and consolidated accounts.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and group consolidations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, multi-currency environments, and foreign exchange considerations.
