You role:
You will be at the forefront of driving technology improvements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring robust security measures are in place. - Take ownership of all core IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance, security, and availability across platforms while supporting a motivated team.
- Play a key advisory role to senior colleagues, shaping IT strategy and providing expert guidance on digital transformation projects that drive organisational success.
- Oversee and manage Azure-based services, applications, and environments while maintaining system availability across both internal and third-party hosted platforms.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity controls such as multi-factor authentication, endpoint security, and conditional access policies to safeguard organisational data.
- Monitor for security risks, incidents, and vulnerabilities; respond promptly to ensure compliance with data protection standards in collaboration with legal teams.
- Lead a small but highly motivated team by providing day-to-day direction for IT support services, acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Maintain high levels of user satisfaction by ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and problems while triaging bugs effectively between internal colleagues and external suppliers.
- Manage relationships with external vendors supporting infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Deliver technical projects across infrastructure, security, and digital services throughout the project lifecycle from requirements gathering through to project closure.
What you bring:
- Extensive hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments as well as Microsoft 365 applications within medium or large organisations.
- A thorough understanding of infrastructure management including networking principles and endpoint device administration across diverse platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing cybersecurity controls such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint protection solutions, conditional access policies, and data protection protocols.
- Proven track record troubleshooting complex technical issues involving both hardware and software components within enterprise settings.
- Experience leading or managing small IT teams with a focus on nurturing talent through clear communication, delegation of tasks, setting objectives, performance management, and issue resolution.
- Strong project management skills evidenced by successful delivery of multiple concurrent workstreams using recognised methodologies while establishing effective governance structures.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly in plain English to non-technical stakeholders at all levels within an organisation.
- Experience coordinating cross-departmental projects involving multiple stakeholders; adept at delegating tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling you to present arguments persuasively using evidence-based reasoning when engaging senior stakeholders.
- Outstanding organisational abilities allowing you to plan workloads efficiently for yourself and others while prioritising tasks according to business needs.
What you get in return:
£70,00 - £75,000 depending on experience.
