In-House Conveyancing Lead

A pioneering UK digital lender is looking for an In-House Conveyancing Lead, based in Manchester. This is your chance to shape the future of secured lending by building and owning the internal conveyancing function within a rapidly growing FinTech environment. You will play a pivotal role in automating and streamlining legal processes, ensuring seamless property transactions, and supporting the business's mission to make home equity more accessible and affordable for homeowners across the UK.

What You'll Do:

As In-House Conveyancing Lead you will be instrumental in establishing an entirely new approach to secured lending within an innovative financial services provider. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full ownership of the internal conveyancing process, guiding the automation of title checks on proprietary management platforms and providing essential legal insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Managing all legal aspects of secured lending transactions.
  • Administering post-completion processes.
  • Recruiting and leading a growing team of paralegals and junior conveyancers as the in-house function expands over time.
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of automated documentation workflows linking directly with Land Registry systems for enhanced efficiency.

What You Bring:

To excel as In-House Conveyancing Lead you will bring deep practical knowledge of residential conveyancing law coupled with an enthusiasm for leveraging technology to improve traditional processes. Your background may include:

  • Qualified Licensed Conveyancer or Solicitor with substantial hands-on experience managing residential property transactions from inception through completion.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Land Registry requirements and practical experience handling secured lending matters within a legal or financial services context.
  • Comfort operating within a technology-driven environment where automation is central to process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working directly with mortgage lenders is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn about lender-side requirements is key.

The Company:

This organisation stands out as one of the UK's fastest-growing digital lenders dedicated to unlocking home equity value through simple yet flexible financial products. The company fosters an inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated and employee wellbeing is prioritised through generous leave policies, mental health support programmes, volunteering allowances, annual learning budgets, cycle schemes, pension contributions, monthly socials, and access to bespoke benefits via an intuitive platform.

Recognised externally for its outstanding workplace culture and commitment to employee recognition as well as being BCorp certified and Disability Confident Committed employer status holder-the company offers genuine opportunities for career progression within an environment that values innovation alongside stability. Hybrid working arrangements provide flexibility rarely matched elsewhere: enjoy four days per week onsite in Manchester plus Fridays at home-with up to thirty days annually available for remote work from any location worldwide-enabling you to balance professional ambitions with personal priorities. Here you'll find not only rewarding work but also camaraderie among colleagues who share your drive for positive change.
