As a Java Developer, you'll be part of an engineering team responsible for enhancing, designing, and delivering secure, scalable backend solutions that power mission-critical internal platforms for a Global Bank. Java Developer (Multiple Levels)
Location: Dublin - Fully Onsite Salary: £60,000 - £90,000 + 5% Bonus Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Engagement Model: Employed via a global technology consultancy, deployed into a Tier-1 global financial institution

You will:

Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot

Build and enhance microservices and APIs

Contribute to system design and architectural decisions

Deploy and support applications within AWS cloud environments

Ensure performance, resilience, and security best practices

Participate in CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

Troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain enterprise-scale applications

Collaborate in a highly structured, agile delivery environment

Strong hands-on experience in Java development

Proven experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs

Experience working within AWS cloud environments

Solid understanding of system design, application development, and operational stability

Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments

Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Experience with CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Experience with Kafka or other messaging frameworks

Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Knowledge of OAuth authentication & authorization patterns
