Senior Angular/Java Engineer - AWS
Location: Manchester
Role Type: Contract - until June 2027
Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days onsite

What you'll do

• Develop and enhance public-facing websites, features and reusable Angular components.
• Build and integrate Java/Spring Boot services and REST APIs, including API gateway integrations.
• Develop and support cloud-based applications across AWS.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, automated testing and engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in development.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA and non-technical stakeholders across distributed teams.

What you bring

• Strong commercial experience with Angular, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience developing Java and Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.
• Practical AWS experience, particularly S3, Lambda and ECS.
• Experience with Kong or a comparable API gateway.
• Experience with automated testing, ideally Cypress and TypeScript.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical leadership within a collaborative, distributed team.
