They're looking for multiple Lead Developers (tech agnostic) to lead end-to-end delivery of major components or entire services; overseeing architecture, design, development and continual improvement. As-well as mentor junior members of the team.

As a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll take technical ownership of complex, enterprise-scale digital solutions, guiding teams and influencing technical strategy. You'll collaborate across disciplines such as Software Engineering, User-Centred Design, Delivery Management, and Data Science to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure services. Key Responsibilities
  • Take end-to-end technical ownership of large-scale services, from architecture and design to delivery and continual improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), providing technical guidance and ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure solutions using modern technologies such as .NET, Java, Python, or JavaScript frameworks.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to build trusted relationships and provide sound technical advice.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to foster growth within the team while driving best practices in software engineering.
  • Oversee cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure) with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
  • Contribute to the growth of the engineering discipline through recruitment, training sessions, and knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience leading full-stack engineering teams with expertise in .NET, Java, or Python, plus modern JavaScript libraries.
  • Proven track record of taking technical ownership of large-scale services across the full lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., serverless, microservices) with hands-on experience implementing them.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on TDD/CI/CD practices.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for delivering well-architected solutions.
  • Excellent mentoring skills to support less experienced engineers and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Strong client engagement skills with the ability to advise on technical direction.

Desirable Skills:

  • Consultancy experience working with external stakeholders.
  • Exposure to public sector projects or complex organisational environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Terraform.
