What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Product Team as well as Sales, Marketing and Finance departments to create and maintain robust product and service pricing strategies that support business objectives.

  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on bid and tender pricing initiatives by utilising advanced commercial modelling techniques to ensure competitive submissions.

  • Leverage data analysis to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable insights to senior management, aiding strategic planning decisions across the organisation.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of pricing decisions by assessing performance metrics and highlighting areas requiring attention or improvement.

  • Develop comprehensive pricing models while benchmarking products and services against competitors to ensure market relevance and profitability.

  • Offer practical solutions informed by marketplace trends, competitor activity and industry demand to keep the business ahead of emerging opportunities.

  • Contribute to strategies that identify untapped market segments, helping the company expand its reach into new areas for increased market share.

  • Continuously assess actual costs versus bid or tender pricing to refine methodologies for optimal cost contribution and margin enhancement where relevant.

  • Conduct initial Go/No-Go assessments based on deliverables and price points to inform project viability early in the process.

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business by fostering collaboration, sensitivity and open communication.

What you bring:

  • A degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or marketing or equivalent experience demonstrating strong commercial acumen.

  • Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, CFA or Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) are essential for this position.

  • Proven track record in creating, developing and implementing pricing strategies as well as building price models from inception through execution.

  • Advanced expertise in data analysis with an ability to translate findings into actionable strategies that optimise market positioning and drive sales performance.

  • Comprehensive understanding of deep tech or technology innovation markets including competitor landscapes and industry demand dynamics.

  • Demonstrated commitment to problem-solving with a passion for delivering innovative solutions tailored to evolving business needs.

  • Experience working collaboratively within consultancy or project-based industries is advantageous but not essential; exposure to both public and private sectors is valued.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a history of developing trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups; highly collaborative with a flexible approach to teamwork.

  • Enthusiastic attitude combined with adaptability; able to manage ambiguity while prioritising tasks effectively under tight deadlines.

  • Familiarity with SFIA Competency Framework skills such as Stakeholder Relationship Management (Level 5), Business Modelling (Level 5), Business Intelligence (Level 4), and Business Process Improvement (Level 5).
