Front Office QA Technical Tester (AVP)

£450-£700/day (Umbrella) | London (Liverpool Street) | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) 6-month contract (initial)

A globally recognised investment bank is seeking a hands-on Front Office QA Technical Tester to join a high-performing QA team supporting critical trading systems. This is a key role focused on protecting production stability within a complex, front-to-back trading environment.

You'll operate within a banking function, ensuring all changes to live applications are robust, compliant, and production-ready. This is a highly hands-on position, combining manual testing and automation, with a strong focus on regression and production change validation.

You'll work closely with Front Office, technology teams, and vendors across the full delivery lifecycle, gaining exposure to a wide range of systems, products, and initiatives.

• Own regression, functional, and defect testing across FO to BO systems

• Validate production changes, enhancements, and incident fixes

• Support and expand automated regression test packs

• Create and maintain test artefacts (JIRA/XRAY) with full traceability

• Partner with Dev, BA, QA, and Production Support teams on defect triage and root cause analysis

• Strong hands-on experience in manual and automation testing within Front Office environments

• Solid understanding of investment banking products and trade flows

• Proven experience supporting production changes and defect resolution

• Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript) and solid SQL/database knowledge

• Experience with JIRA/XRAY and test management best practices

• Strong stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams
