S/4HANA Programme Director - Outside IR35

A leading global professional services firm is seeking a S/4HANA Programme Director to lead a major multi-year ERP and Finance Transformation. This high-impact senior leadership role offers board-level visibility and the opportunity to shape a strategic SAP S/4HANA programme that will redefine global business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a global SAP S/4HANA-enabled Finance Transformation from mobilisation through to benefits realisation.
• Define and deliver the end-to-end migration approach in partnership with business and technical leaders.
• Build, mobilise, and manage high-performing internal teams and external delivery partners.
• Establish a clear programme roadmap, overseeing milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, and resources.
• Lead governance and quality assurance and act as the senior escalation point for programme issues.
• Drive effective change management and user adoption across diverse geographies.
• Communicate progress and decisions through executive briefings, steering groups, and stakeholder forums.
• Align the programme with broader organisational transformation initiatives.

Skillset & Requirements:

• Must come from a finance background, with a deep understanding of finance processes and how they translate into SAP design.
• Direct experience leading a Finance Transformation where SAP S/4HANA migration was a central component.
• Clear articulation of the S/4HANA migration approach you have led, such as greenfield, brownfield, phased, or hybrid.
• Strong stakeholder leadership, including executive sponsors, Finance leadership, IT, global process owners, and systems integrators.
• Experience contributing to or owning the business case behind a major ERP or S/4HANA transformation.
• 10+ years' experience directing complex, global ERP programmes.
• Proven success managing cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers.
• Solid understanding of ERP-enabled business processes and S/4HANA capabilities.
• Professional programme management certification (MSP, PRINCE2, PMI) preferred.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to build trust quickly at senior levels.
