SAP HR & Payroll Support Analyst
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a talented SAP HR & Payroll Support Analyst to join their established digital & technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the organisation's SAP HR and Payroll systems, ensuring smooth and accurate payroll operations across the business.
In this role, you'll provide day-to-day support and maintenance for SAP HR and Payroll systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with payroll legislation. You'll collaborate closely with HR, IT, and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support key HR and payroll initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert day-to-day support and administration of SAP HR and Payroll systems, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently.
- Monitor and troubleshoot payroll processing errors, wage type configuration issues, and Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs).
- Manage and maintain SAP Time Management components, ensuring seamless integration with Payroll.
- Analyse current HR and Payroll processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and system optimisation.
- Configure, test, and implement changes in SAP to meet evolving business requirements.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancement projects, and patch implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with the SAP Basis, Development, and Support teams to maintain optimal system performance and stability.
- Conduct root-cause analyses of recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, company policies, and data security standards.
- Document system configurations, maintain process maps, and deliver training to end users when required.
- Support business readiness activities for new functionality or system rollouts.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in SAP HR & Payroll support, ideally within a complex or large-scale environment.
- Proven configuration expertise across Payroll Schemas, PCRs, and Wage Type setup.
- Solid understanding of SAP Time Management and its integration with Payroll.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex system issues.
- Confident communicator, able to collaborate effectively with both business users and technical specialists.
- Proven ability to deliver under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with SAP upgrades, testing, and change control processes.
- Working knowledge of HR master data, employee lifecycle processes, and payroll controls.
- Understanding of Agile or project delivery methodologies.
