Robert Walters have partnered with a leading organisation in the Midlands looking to increase its capability within SAP S/4 HANA. They are looking for an integration Specialist with experience delivering SAP Projects and integrating the system with other applications.
What you'll do:
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot IBM Integration Bus (IIB) message flows, APIs, and transformations to ensure reliable data movement across systems.
- Configure and manage integration workflows, mappings, and adapters for cloud-based solutions, supporting seamless connectivity between SAP and third-party applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and IIB middleware to facilitate efficient business processes.
- Collaborate closely with SAP functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions that meet operational needs.
- Monitor end-to-end integration performance, proactively identifying issues to ensure high availability and minimal disruption to business activities.
- Implement best practices for integration design, security protocols, and data governance across SAP and middleware environments.
- Conduct root cause analysis on interface issues, message queues, and API connectivity problems to deliver prompt resolutions.
What you bring:
- Over five years of proven experience in SAP technical integration roles involving both SAP CPI and middleware solutions such as IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), ensuring seamless connectivity between systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of IBM Integration Bus (IIB), including message transformation techniques, routing strategies, and API management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, as well as SOAP/REST APIs utilised in enterprise-level integrations.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and error handling mechanisms specific to middleware layers within SAP environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure while maintaining attention to detail across all deliverables.
