The Role

We are seeking a Security Analyst to join us on a permanent basis via the Robert Walters Consultancy. Your first assignment will be at Legal & General, in Hove. For this role, we are seeking candidates with experience in in cloud security and transformation projects, with a strong focus on risk management and secure design.

What You'll Do

• Security Control Requirements: Translate the company's security policies, standards, and recognized frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10) into key security design patterns and solutions. Provide guidance to Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Developers.
• Threat Modelling: Identify security threats and vulnerabilities in cloud solutions through thorough threat modelling and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Technical Design & Reviews: Integrate security requirements and guardrails into business transformation programs, ensuring security is central to design, development, and implementation.
• Configuration Review: Assess system configurations, identify vulnerabilities, recommend improvements, and escalate risks for proactive management. Familiar with CSPM tools and principles.

What You Bring

• Broad experience in cloud security, supporting transformation projects across high- and low-level documentation.
• Strong understanding of encryption protocols and application security.
• Hands-on experience with Security Operations Centers (SOC) and penetration testing.
• Skilled in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and security tools including Whizz (cloud security cluster management), RiskSense dashboards, and Defender.
• Knowledge of security configuration tools and proactive risk management.
• Experience in financial services (FS) is highly desirable.
