  • Design and develop scalable Python-based automation solutions to abstract backup applications, including RESTful APIs for self-service end-user access and automated workload placement across hybrid environments
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs in backup, storage, database, and UNIX domains to assess current systems, define future-state architectures, and outline migration stages, translating requirements into actionable Python implementations
  • Build reliable ML-driven tools and scripts in Python (using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn) to optimize workload automation, predict placement needs, and handle legacy-modern tech integrations
  • Conduct code reviews, implement CI/CD pipelines with Python tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and optimize for performance, security, and reliability in production environments
  • Investigate and resolve issues in backup/storage workflows, leveraging Python for data analysis, scripting, and prototyping enhancements
  • Mentor junior engineers on Python best practices, ML model deployment, and agile development in a global team setting

What You Bring

  • Proven expertise in Python programming, including building scalable REST API servers, integrating message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Celery), and developing ML solutions
  • Exceptional debugging skills for complex, novel issues, going beyond documentation
