Senior ServiceNow Engineer- VP

An established global organisation is looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow GRC Engineer to join its technology team. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of ServiceNow Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) solutions.

Working closely with platform leadership and technical stakeholders, you will play a key role in developing and optimising ServiceNow capabilities across Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ServiceNow platform, with a particular focus on GRC and IRM modules.
  • Design, develop, and support complex ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, leveraging automation and integration opportunities.
  • Manage the technical delivery of platform enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Review, estimate, and prioritise incoming development requests and enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices and maintain platform health and stability.
  • Provide technical governance and oversight for platform changes and developments.
  • Support testing and deployment activities for platform upgrades and releases.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and offshore resources.
Skills & Experience Essential
  • 5+ years' experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow solutions.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow GRC / Integrated Risk Management (IRM).
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing ServiceNow workflows, automations, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance processes.
  • Experience managing platform upgrades, enhancements, and technical governance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within highly regulated environments.
Desirable
  • Experience with Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and operational resilience requirements.
  • Familiarity with DORA and related compliance standards.
  • Understanding of ITIL, COBIT, or similar governance frameworks.
  • Experience within financial services, insurance, or other regulated sectors.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Current ServiceNow certifications.
  • Relevant industry certifications would be advantageous.
