A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Sourcing & Category Lead to drive strategic procurement across its Technology Services spend portfolio.

This is a high-impact role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, offering the opportunity to shape category strategy, deliver commercial value, and influence enterprise-wide sourcing decisions.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of a complex and high-value IT Services category, developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimise cost, manage risk, and enhance supplier performance. Working closely with business leaders and procurement teams, you will play a key role in aligning commercial strategy with broader organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and deliver category strategies for Technology Services spend
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activity (RFPs, negotiations, supplier selection)
  • Drive cost optimisation while maintaining service quality and managing risk
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across technology, procurement, and operations
  • Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and control frameworks
  • Identify and implement process improvements and sourcing efficiencies
  • Monitor market trends and supplier landscape to inform strategic decisions
About You
  • Extensive procurement experience within a large, complex organisation
  • Strong background in IT / Technology Services sourcing (essential)
  • Proven ability to operate at senior stakeholder level and influence decision-making
  • Deep understanding of commercial models, contract negotiation, and supplier management
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate analysis into actionable outcomes
  • Strong risk awareness within regulated or highly governed environments
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
