Technical Business Analyst - Trade Capture Systems - Banking
A leading financial institution is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their FV Engine Project team in London. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape the integration of complex systems across Front Office, Risk, Finance, Data, and Regulatory Reporting departments. You will be at the heart of a major transformation programme, acting as the primary interface between IT delivery teams, vendors, and system area specialists.

Your deep familiarity with trade capture platforms like ION or Broadridge combined with hands-on exposure to risk management systems ensures you can bridge gaps between business needs and IT solutions. You have demonstrated success authoring comprehensive interface specifications that address not only field-level mappings but also message formats and reconciliation controls vital for robust integrations. Your background includes coordinating simultaneous testing efforts across multiple departments-leveraging your organisational skills to manage environments efficiently while guiding defect resolution processes collaboratively. You understand the nuances of securities operations methodologies especially around repo/fixed income/securities financing transactions which positions you well for capturing accurate requirements during workshops
- In-depth working knowledge of capital markets front-to-back system architectures including trade capture platforms (ION/Broadridge), risk systems (MARS/SUMO/VAR engines), accounting sub-ledgers (GLOSS), general ledger systems (Oracle), data warehouses, and regulatory reporting platforms.
- Strong understanding of repo transactions, fixed income products, and securities financing activities.
- Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts including ETL patterns, schema design principles, data lineage tracking methods, and source-to-target reconciliation techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms such as EMIR/MiFID, FRTB sensitivity reporting, plus internal aggregation systems used for compliance purposes.
- Understanding of fair value engine outputs relevant to downstream systems.
- Extensive background in business analysis roles within financial institutions or software vendors delivering complex multi-system integration programmes; ideally with exposure to Operations/Risk/IT delivery functions in capital markets environments.
- Advanced Excel/data analysis capabilities eg.VBA, SQL etc.
