Technical Lead - Regulatory Reporting (Qlik/ SQL/ MiFID)

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to drive the reengineering of MiFID Transaction Reporting within a Capital Markets environment. This role will focus on redesigning and rebuilding complex regulatory reporting logic, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with global architecture standards.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the end-to-end redesign and reengineering of MiFID Transaction Reporting systems.
  • Analyse and rewrite complex MiFID transaction logic currently embedded in Stored Procedures into Qlik-based reporting solutions.
  • Work closely with business, compliance, and global technology teams to align reporting architecture with regulatory requirements.
  • Design, optimise, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models supporting regulatory reporting.
  • Act as the L3 escalation point for EMEA regulatory reporting issues and production support.
  • Translate regulatory changes into technical requirements and system enhancements.
  • Mentor junior team members and support best practices across development and reporting.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with reporting tools such as Qlik, SmartBI, or Crystal Reports (essential).
  • Deep expertise in SQL, Stored Procedures, and Data Modelling (critical).
  • Proven ability to work with complex reporting logic and large datasets in Capital Markets environments.
  • Experience with Python, Linux, and scripting for automation and data processing.
  • Solid understanding of post-trade workflows and regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • MiFID Trade Reporting experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams.
