Our client is a global financial services firm that manages wealth, navigates complex markets, and designs strategic financial objectives. The firm provides risk management solutions across a variety of sectors, emphasizing long-term relationships, and innovative approaches to financial challenges.
What you'll do:
- Lead and command major incidents across applications, infrastructure, cloud, networks, identity, data, EUC, and third parties, establishing clear roles, communications, and ownership for rapid triage.
- Drive service restoration by coordinating SMEs, vendors, and operations teams, managing dependencies, removing blockers, and maintaining real-time tracking of actions, risks, and decisions with regular senior stakeholder updates.
- Manage senior Technology and Business stakeholders, setting expectations, controlling impact narrative, and escalating decisively.
- Perform rapid risk and impact assessments (business, security, regulatory, data, downstream and reputational) and drive timely mitigation, escalation and communications.
- Support Change and Problem Management as required, including post-incident engagement and change risk management.
- Provide concise handovers of active incidents, summarizing actions, impact, and risk to ensure seamless transition to regional counterparts.
What you bring:
- 6+ years leading major incidents in large-scale, 24/7 environments (financial services preferred)
- Proven incident commander with strong judgment under pressure
- Deep knowledge of modern tech stacks: distributed systems, cloud, networks, identity, databases, messaging
- Strong analytical mindset for solving complex, unfamiliar system issues
- Solid cybersecurity and operational risk understanding; able to assess and adapt to security impacts
- Experience with ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, Change) in enterprise settings
- Excellent communication-translates technical details into business impact quickly
- Strong stakeholder management; influences and challenges senior leaders effectively
- Highly organized; manages multiple priorities efficiently and build strong relationships across executives and teams
- Working knowledge of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, racking)
- Broad understanding of enterprise systems: OS (Unix, Windows, Mainframe), storage (NFS, SAN, NAS), databases (DB2, Sybase, GreenPlum), web infrastructure, networks, virtualization, authentication, and cloud (AWS, Azure, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
