Job Title: 1st Line IT Support Engineer

Location: Northampton (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote after probation)

Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 (Depending on Experience)

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Handle and prioritise incoming service desk calls and escalated service requests.
  • Monitor and manage customer IT systems using diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure efficient communication and ticket resolution to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd line teams to support more complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and customer communication logs.
  • Proactively escalate unresolved issues when needed.

Key Attributes Required

  • Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows 10, Office 365, Exchange, and Windows Server 2019/2022.
  • Ability to set up and support mobile devices across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and a proactive approach.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and a valid UK driving licence.
