Key Role Responsibilities
- Translate construction drawings and technical specs into network design deliverables; raise and manage RFIs as needed.
- Develop high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) designs for complex, converged IP networks.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support procurement and cost management.
- Conduct wireless surveys and site assessments during pre-construction and delivery phases.
- Configure and commission Cisco network hardware, including switches, routers, and wireless devices.
- Coordinate Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), ensuring technical compliance and quality.
- Lead technical workshops to align with stakeholders and ensure successful integration with other building systems.
- Produce and maintain detailed project documentation including schematics, test records, and network drawings.
- Provide post-completion support for monitoring, maintenance, and service delivery.
Key Attributes Required
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying network infrastructure, ideally in construction or Smart Building environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco technologies (routing, switching, wireless, VLANs, QoS, security).
- Ability to interpret and work from detailed technical specs and drawings.
- Proficiency in Visio and Excel, with a high standard of documentation.
- Familiarity with building systems such as BMS, CCTV, access control, and AV over IP.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across trades and clients.
Desirable Skills
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or Design Professional).
- Exposure to Aruba, Meraki, or Ruckus wireless platforms.
- Understanding of structured cabling (Cat6A, Fibre), PoE, and Smart Building/IOT architectures.
- Awareness of network security principles and segmentation practices.
