Lead Software Engineer (AI & ML) - Contract - £610pd inside IR35 - Hybrid, London

Location: Central London (3 days per week onsite, hybrid model)
Rate: £610 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract - 6 months initially

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer, working at the forefront of AI and Machine Learning initiatives. This role will involve designing and delivering scalable solutions that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced data streaming platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Machine Learning models and pipelines in Python.
• Architect and optimize Real Time data processing workflows using Apache Kafka.
• Drive the design and application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in business-critical use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI/ML solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in Python for ML and AI development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for data streaming.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Broad background in Machine Learning frameworks, pipelines, and deployment practices.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to guide complex projects to success.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions.
• Familiarity with LangChain for LLM application development.
• Knowledge of LLaMA or similar open-source LLM frameworks.
