They are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong Application Support experience. This role blends DevOps practices with hands-on support for critical applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and rapid incident resolution. You'll work closely with Development, Infrastructure, Product, and Client Services teams to maintain high service levels and streamline deployment processes. This is an ideal position for a Support Engineer\SRE\ DBA looking to move into the DevOps space.

Their tech stack:

• Windows Server 2022, SQL Sever
• Azure, Azure B2C
• .Net
• PowerShell, SQL, CLI

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide second-line support for production applications, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth deployments and rollback strategies.
• Monitor application health and performance.
• Document support processes and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in Application Support roles (minimum 2 years).
• Keen interest in DevOps practices and processes.
• Scripting skills for PowerShell.
• Experience with ticketing and approval workflows.
• Understanding of SLAs and support escalation processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage competing priorities.

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with SQL Server maintenance\support\security.

Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, or related field.
• Microsoft Certifications.
• Knowledge of SDLC and secure development practices.

Holiday: 23 days + bank holidays, (increasing to 25 days after 2 years' service and to 27 days after 10 years' service).

Working hours: Mon to Fri, 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid office/home working.
