Roc Search have partnered with an exciting Fintech start up in London who are seeking an experienced Senior Angular Developer ideally with a background in the finance/Fintech sector who can come in and drive forward the development of mission-critical web applications. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in Angular and related frameworks/libraries, capable of architecting optimised solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of applications to end users in the financial sector.

Main day to day duties

– Design, develop, and maintain high-quality user-facing applications using Angular framework

– Engineer a scalable Front End architecture that uses industry best practice

– Implement robust authentication and authorisation mechanisms, aligned with industry benchmarks for financial applications

– Work with UX designers and cross-functional teams, translating designs into functioning applications

– Implement UI components and interactions using TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript

– Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that follows best practices and design patterns

– Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of software engineering best practices

– Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the software development industry

Requirements

– 5+ years’ experience as an Angular developer

– Strong expertise in UI design patterns, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, JavaScript and associated frameworks

– Proficiency in harnessing common Angular libraries, including NgRx, RxJS, and Angular Material

– Expert in responsive design principles and the ethos of mobile-first development

– Expertise in embedding data visualisation and charting libraries within financial applications

– Knowledge and expertise of asynchronous programming and seamless integration with REST APIs

– Strong understanding of security and data protection practices

– Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

– Strong experience in DevOps practices such as continuous integration, deployment, and delivery

– Financial services and/or financial accounting experience

– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
