Quality Control Leader

Our client is a software company supplying an industry leading ERP solution into a large and rapidly growing sector. They are well established and have, through the ongoing addition of features and due to the targeted area of their customer base, enjoyed significant growth.

The software offers a unique, cloud based, end to end solution for their clients, front end, EPOS, ecommerce, stock management, analytics and full accounting capability. In order to support their ongoing growth, they now seek to appoint a quality control leader to the team to provide a link between the support, projects and developments teams. You will provide quality control on new and major software releases, managing a team of quality engineers. You will also be involved in the day-to-day management, definition and monitoring of all test planning and test scripts including the roll out of tested items to the business.

Our client is looking for a team player with exceptional communication skills, an analytical approach, can-do attitude, and experience of structured test software and test scripts. Previous experience of Python or Java to create test scripts or scripts with Sikuli or equivalent would be an advantage but is not essential.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the development team to understand and contribute to specification of new products and features, and the required test plans
  • Organise & schedule all software releases, create and maintain test plans, allocate and supervise time for those involved in testing processes.
  • Coordinate test allocation within the QC team, and the wider team where required
  • Organise release notes
  • Manage automated test scripts and processes
  • Impart knowledge of new developments to other teams
  • Identify & improve process around all matters related to QC and testing.
  • Working with Projects team to help develop specifications for software projects where required.
