The department provides effective, compliant, secure, and resilient technical infrastructures, allowing our people to work effectively wherever they are based. Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities A key role in the End User Services (EUS) team, leading in the design, delivery and support of the modern Intune desktop and wider M365 environment. A bridging role between the Platform and EUS teams.Lead in the ongoing development and support of the managed Intune laptop desktopPrimary 3rd line escalation point for the Service DeskSoftware packaging and deploymentOwnership of the ongoing vulnerability compliance to align with CE+ & DCC mandated guidelinesWindows operating system supportBasic Linux support / understandingiOS and Android phone supportAdvanced M365 support and administrationSharepoint support / understandingTechnical leadership in project teamsWork closely with the Head of IT Service, to develop and improve IT service provision, proposing improvementsDevelop and maintain high quality technical documentation for use across the wider teamResearch and develop solutions to Incidents and Problems as necessaryEngagement with the Change Management ProcessMaintain strong relationships with the IT Platform TeamStrive to deliver an excellent level of service to customers at all timesKeep IT management apprised of any ongoing problemsTravel to other Roke sites as necessaryAlways fully comply with Roke’s policies and procedures Undertake such other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job holder’s experience and qualifications, as may be required for the smooth operation of the business Education and QualificationsExperience in line with the role requirementsMicrosoft certified in any of the following (or similar) would be an advantageMicrosoft 365 Fundamentals / Administrator (MS-900 / MS-102)Endpoint administrator associate (MD-102)Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300)Azure Administrator (AZ-104)ITIL V4 FoundationKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceTechnicalMicrosoft OS installation / deployment / SupportLinux OS Installation / SupportStrong Experience of Intune endpoint managementStrong experience in administration across the M365 stackUnderstanding of physical infrastructure AD, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN’s, WifiFamiliar with the practical use of PowershellCorporate mobile phone managementExperience of Request, Incident, Problem and Change ManagementExperience of cloud PaaS such as Azure and AWS would be an advantageGeneralProject participation / task ownershipExcellent communication and networking skillsAbility to produce high quality technical documentationStrong customer focusAbility to manage conflicting priorities Excellent and supportive team playerAble to use a high level of initiative Flexible and agile approach to high workloadsStrong advocate for the IT Department in the wider businessWhy You Should Join UsWe offer a competitive salary and access to a number of additional flexible benefits, which will cover Health and Wellbeing, Savings and Protection & Life, Leisure and Entertainment.
