Lead Platform Engineer
A fast-growing tech-driven utilities company is looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to drive their cloud strategy and platform engineering team. This role blends leadership, security, and automation, supporting a cloud-first approach with a focus on Azure while maintaining cloud-agnostic capabilities.
What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a small platform engineering team.
Define and implement a secure cloud platform strategy.
Manage supplier relationships and budget forecasts.
Drive DevSecOps best practices and cloud security initiatives.
Design CI/CD pipelines and automation-first infrastructure.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency and security.
Provide enterprise-level authentication security expertise.
Support out-of-hours deployments when needed.
What You'll Bring:5+ years in DevOps & Cloud Native Infrastructure (Azure-focused).3+ years in Cloud Security / DevSecOps.
Expertise in Kubernetes (Azure), Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).Strong coding skills in C# and experience with .NET Core/.NET 8.Experience with Azure CAF, ELZ, and well-architected frameworks.
Proficiency in scripting & automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML).Strong problem-solving and leadership skills. AWS experience is a plus for business continuity planning.
